A round up of the newest ski products on the block!

POSTED :

The ski season is fast approaching and with that, new gadgets have started appearing to help you look slicker and ski quicker on the mountain.

One new product that has caught our eye is Proggle, a brilliant idea to protect your goggles from the usual dinks and scratches that inevitably happen over a 5-month season. If you’ve ever left your goggles on top of your helmet whilst partying in an après bar, you will know how easy it is to scratch your goggles. No one has time to put them away in their case right? With Proggle, you can clip a simple bit of fabric over your goggle lens (without the faff of taking them off your helmet or hat) and they will be protected from ski boot kicks and pint glass scrapes. Plus they’ve got loads of awesome colours and designs to catch you’re eye – we’re loving The Fur One! Click here for more details: http://www.theproggle.com/

For those of you who prefer all things vintage, check out the range of retro one-pieces at Retro Mountain: http://www.retromountain.com/. These old-school onesies have been making a comeback over the past few years, and these guys have a pretty bold choice of colour-combos. Perfect for the one-piece descent in Verbier or monoski charity day in Val D’Isere!

It may not be new, but ski tracking apps are everywhere these days, helping the most competitive skiers out there compare speeds, overall runs and other stats with friends. Our personal fave is Ski Tracks which uses the GPS on your phone to record all aspects of your ski day so you can try and beat your daily ski distance, number of runs, total duration on the mountain and of course, your top speed! Slowest person buys the first round of vin chaud?! Available on iPhone and Android.

One of the most beautiful ski resorts in France, Samoens
A few years back a review in the Telegraph praised Samoens as one of the best secrets of the French Alps.
