What to Expect Working as a Private House/Estate Manager in the Middle East
We recruit for a number of senior management positions for Private Houses and Estates in the Middle East. These roles are suitable for candidates with a solid background working in Private Households with good previous management experience.
You will need to adapt to each home you work in as the job requirements will vary, and the laws in the Middle East will also require you to adapt from what you might be used to. All of this will be explained before you arrive, and you will have someone you can always ask if you’re unsure.
Estate Managers often manage multiple properties and are in close contact with the Principles to ensure each property is run well. They will be responsible for the staff within each property in terms of their recruitment, training and development and general performance within the role. They will often have aspects of facility management incorporated into the role along with project management of any work being done. These roles are incredibly busy, varied and at times stressful but offer a fantastic opportunity for House Managers to progress within the industry.
House Managers will be responsible for individual properties and will have sole care of the day to day running of an individual home. They will need to ensure all staff members are happy and performing well, they will manage the household accounts and spending, they will organise family functions and events, they will manage all household maintenance and just generally manage the day to day running of the household.
