Silver Swan Recruitment was launched in 2013 by Philippa Smith. After university, she worked a ski season before falling into recruitment – which is typically how most recruiters end up in recruitment! Having enjoyed recruiting for the corporate industry in London she was unable to turn down an amazing opportunity to manage the HR for the leading luxury ski tour operator. During her time there it was clear that attracting and retaining 5* hospitality professionals to work in luxury chalets was a challenge for everyone with no apparent specialised agency in the market. She, therefore, decided to seize the opportunity and Silver Swan was launched to provide this much-needed support.
Silver Swan soon expanded when our chalet owners requested our services to also help them staff their villas during the summer seasons. It wasn’t long before requests extended to permanent residences, yachts, jets and then globally to include numerous palaces further afield.
We pride ourselves on the personal relationships we build with our clients and candidates alike so when we started to expand into the Middle East we felt London was simply too far away, we, therefore, opened a branch in Dubai in 2019.
