Silver Swan is currently seeking a Housekeeper to work for our client, a delightful couple, in Knightsbridge, London. This will see the successful Housekeeper working in the client’s new house; a spacious 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom tall townhouse with a working lift, with the couple moving in June. The couple, who are down-to-earth and amiable, have two small and friendly dogs, making it essential for the candidate to be a dog lover. While the couple enjoys occasional low-key dinner parties, the overall atmosphere is relaxed, creative a pleasant work environment for the Housekeeper. The ideal start date for this role is May 2024, allowing the Housekeeper to assist with the move and settling into the new home. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and versatile Housekeeper to join a welcoming household with a clean slate to start on. Responsibilities:
- General housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and ironing
- Occasional deep cleaning of windows, oven, etc
- Coordination of exterior window cleaning, carpet cleaning, and other necessary services
- Care of delicate fabrics and clothing, including managing dry cleaning deliveries and collections
- Liaising with contractors as needed
- Household shopping and running errands
- Family-style cooking of simple, healthy meals
- Cooking for small dinner parties and assisting caterers for larger gatherings
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a sole housekeeper in a similar role
- Must be animal-friendly, particularly with dogs
- Helpful with a can-do attitude
- Legal right to work in the UK
Package:
- Salary: Approximately £45,000 per year
- Start date: May 2024 (flexible)
- 5 days per week with flexibility to work some weekends when entertaining, with the candidate receiving time back
