Note

A lovely family based in Atherton, CA are looking for a full-time nanny to join their well-established team. Your responsibilities will be to care for a boy aged 8 and a girl aged 6.5. The children are well adjusted, have high IQs and a great sense of humor. They’re very active and have many hobbies. One of the children is Celiac so a knowledge of dietary requirements is essential. The home also runs with two housekeepers, a chef and another full-time nanny. The family travel fairly extensively and need someone that is open to travel. The hours will be to ensure there is full and complete coverage while the children are home between both Nannies. Roughly covering a split shift on weekdays of 7am until 9am and then 2:30pm until 8:30/9pm. Weekends from 8am to 9pm with flexibility on how these hours are divided between the two nannies. There are no pets at the property.

Responsibilities

• Full management of the children’s schedule, monitoring and management of activities.
• Driving them to various activities, playdates, school and other needs
• Ensuring the children are eating and drinking the right foods, giving them their juice, snacks and food on time.
• No cooking required but creating lunch boxes and breakfast, ensuring the children are getting the right nutrition and eating their vitamins.
• Take care of the children's daily grooming and cleaning needs, ensuring they are presentable
• Managing screen time to ensure screen time is productive.
• Playing games, coming up with interesting activities and games to keep them engaged
• Staying on top of schoolwork, homework, and requirements from different classes and activities
• Organizing playdates with their friends and making sure they have an active social calendar
• Monitoring overall progress and creating developmental milestones
• Taking children to doctors appointments and monitoring or managing any health needs

Ideal Candidate

• Based around Atherton, CA
• Strong command of the English language, good communication skills
• Previous experience in a similar role for high-profile clients, with children of similar ages
• Driver preferred, willing to make exception for the right candidate if non-driver
• Experience in international travel with children
• Ability to work independently and in cohesion with another nanny
• Someone active with a firm but caring demeanour
• Enthusiasm, dedication to responsibilities and a positive outlook
• Professional, well presented and great organisational skills
• Seeking a long-term position
• Excellent references required from previous employers and proven longevity
• Must be eligible to work in the US

Package

Salary: $35 to $45+ per hour DOE

• Live in or live out: Optional, live-in can be accommodated in a studio apartment with independent access from the main house.
