A lovely, retired couple are seeking a talented housekeeper/cook to assist in the overall management of their 8,000 sq. ft home in Kona, Hawaii. The Principal’s split their time between their homes in Hawaii and Washington State. The candidate will be responsible for many aspects of ensuring the smooth running of the home including, housekeeping duties, cooking and providing outstanding personal service to the Principal and guests. The ideal candidate will be energetic, well-polished, detail-oriented and have a knowledge of and experience with the art of formal service.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of healthy, nutritious, meals.
• Procurement of household supplies and groceries
• Management and organization of pantries and storage areas
• All aspects of general housekeeping and cleaning of residence
• Laundry duties inclusive of ironing and wardrobe management
• Willingness to run routine errands
• Additional duties as needed and requested

Ideal Candidate

• Based in the US
• Strong command of English language and good communication skills
• Previous experience in a similar role for high-profile clients and proven longevity
• Cooking skills required, preparing family style, healthy meals
• Excellent eye for detail, thorough knowledge of all aspects of housekeeping
• High level of flexibility and willingness to be on call to the Principal’s
• Professional, positive demeanour and well presented
• Self-starter who can take initiative with the upkeep of the home, great organisational skills
• Enthusiasm and a dedication to responsibilities
• Excellent references required from previous employers
• Must be eligible to work in the US

Package

Salary: $35 - $40 per hour
