WHAT TO EXPECT WORKING AS A CHALET HOST
A Chalet Host role is the most popular position, especially if this is your first ski season. Providing you have some kind of hospitality or waiting experience we will be able to help you secure something. The more experience you have the higher the level of chalet and usually the better salary you will be able to secure.
The role of Chalet Host involves working alongside a chef and maybe other chalet team members depending on the size or level of your chalet. Your role is heavily housekeeping based and with daily table service of breakfast and evening meal. Being front of house, personality is key, you must be comfortable with your guests and provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Some Chalet Hosts will be required to also cook, these roles would be based in smaller chalets where a set menu will be provided.
If you have hospitality experience, you’re not afraid of hard work and aren’t put off by all the cleaning then definitely get in touch.
In order to apply for some of these roles, you may need to have a valid UK working visa. For more information and to check if you qualify, take a look at our UK Working Visa Guide here.
