There is an established roster of subcontractors to flex staffing levels according to requirements. The chalet is large, new and technically complex but we a full complement of external contractors to help keep the building running and a maintenance contract with the architect who built the chalet who can liaise with the contractors on our behalf

Primarily we are looking for a candidate who is prepared to work energetically, efficiently and productively to a high standard for a defined number of hours each week. They need to be practical, show initiative and be prepared to set to with whatever needs to be done from the ‘bottom of the food chain’ tasks like snow clearing and cleaning to the more managerial tasks of liaising with external contractors. We are looking for the following key personal qualities and attributes:
You will be employed on a French contract employment at 10 Euros per hour basic gross pay. We provide accommodation with utilities included and overtime is required and paid in line with French employment regulations.
The immediate scope of operations includes eight luxury properties with around 100 beds and a raft of luxury facilities, but we will also be bringing further new developments to the market over the coming years. Everyone involved has a real respect and understanding of traditional luxury hospitality – so you will probably have been involved in five star and fine dining operations in the past – but we also have our eyes on the future and draw our inspiration from hotels, restaurants, bars and clubs the world over. It’s vital that you share our passions.

This is the perfect role for a hardworking chef with experience in fine-dining, who is also outgoing, enthusiastic and keen to enjoy a ski season.
The chef will be part of a four-person team, consisting of a chalet manager, driver and a host.

Accommodation, food, ski pass, skis / board hire, UK travel and uniform included. Accommodation is by way of a live-in room that will be shared with the chef – so this can be a friend or partner for the right candidates
5 ½ days a week
Work hours will vary but typically 3 hours in the morning (7 – 10) and 4 hours at night (6 – 10)
Working alongside a Chalet Host, you will be required to cater for up to 14 guests on six nights a week.
On rare occasions the number of guests could increase to 18.
You will work approximately 8 hours a day, usually between 7am to 10.30am and 5.30pm to 10.30pm. You will have 1 day off each week

This job is a blank canvas for a creative and ambitious chef to create his or her own menu to impress and delight the guests. Involved is full cooked breakfast 6 days of the week, along with a differing afternoon tea treat each day and a full 3 course meal each evening, with canapes and cheese boards to compliment.
