You will be working alongside a part-time super healthy/raw foods Chef, who will have similar hours but during the weekend. We are currently also recruiting for this role, so if you know anyone suitable for this role to apply alongside you, please do recommend.
The large property is based in Somerset, it is a large house with stables, pools and 2 cottages on the grounds
The house is a part-time residence but the principals (couple) come to the house very often at the weekend – they live in London during Mon – Thurs and tend to come to Somerset 2-3 weekends a month (Thursday night – Sunday afternoon). They are a lovely couple, semi-formal but fairly relaxed once they get to know you. You would be expected to dress smartly, so no jeans and trainers, the principals are happy to provide uniform should you need it.
There is a full-time cleaner who generally works Monday – Friday and full-time Gardeners too, they also have someone who cares for the animals (donkeys/ducks/chickens etc) They bring their dogs with them at the weekends. They don’t have a House Manager, so it will be down to the couple to make sure everything is running smoothly.

Salary – £60,000 starting
Accommodation – A 2-bed cottage on the grounds
Hours – 5 days a week (usually Thursday – Monday)

Working Hours: Flexible working hours required in line with the principals schedules. Two days off a week.
The house is one of London’s finest private homes, and has been refurbished to an exceptionally high level, so an understanding of heritage buildings, premium equipment and the logistics of a property of this nature is essential. The House also has a private spa and swimming pool complex, tennis court and extensive landscaped grounds.

The Principals have not employed a House Manager before now, and elements of the role have been previously covered elsewhere within the Principal’s business, the offices of which are currently located onsite. Therefore, you should be prepared for a role that will evolve over time, and should be prepared and motivated to implement household and property management processes and procedures from scratch. A degree of flexibility is required as the role develops, and you will interact on an ongoing basis with other team members within the Principals’ business.
The complex is likely to develop over the coming years, and the role is likely to develop in line with future properties in addition to the main house.
