If you have some kind of top end housekeeping experience – either from yachts, chalets of private households, and you want a fun life of sun and sea then this could be the perfect role for you.
They are looking for a great housekeeper to join them. The role will be to help run their home, doing the cleaning and making sure everywhere is well presented, doing the laundry and ironing, greeting visitors, making sure school uniforms and gym kits are available when needed, and just generally having everything running smoothly. They are not looking for a chef/cook but you may be asked to make a simple family supper occasionally. The family do not have any pets.
They are not looking for a nanny but you do have to be child-friendly and an experienced driver to occasionally do a school run. It is essential that you have worked as a housekeeper in a private environment for at least 3 years with solid references. You will need to speak excellent English, able to organise your own day and use your own initiative.
This is a live-in five day a week job – you will have some weekends free and if you should need to work on the weekends then you will have time off during the week. The family have recently moved to Jersey and are remodelling their home – when the house is finished you will have a separate flat with your own entrance until then they are living in a rented home and so you will have your own lovely bedroom and bathroom.
Salary is negotiable but will be in the region of £30,000 per annum (approx. £500 net per week) plus accommodation.
Start Date – ASAP.
Your role will involve leading and training the team so that the property runs like a 5* hotel when the Principal is in residence. You will therefore need to understand how a house of this level runs and is presented. You will be responsible for all housekeeping and cleaning, laundry including the care of fine clothing and fabrics, packing and unpacking suitcases, helping the Butler in the dining room when needed, wardrobe management, preparing guest rooms and the Principal’s suite etc. You will be expected to be ‘hands on’ when needed and to lead by example, organise rotas, look after household inventory etc. The Principals have a home in London and you will be in communication with the other Head Housekeeper there to make sure that everything runs seamlessly. You must be a driver for this role.
The successful candidate will have worked as a head housekeeper in a private residence, a top-level hotel, or similar for at least 3 years with suitable references. You must be organised, a very good communicator who is able to motivate their staff, speak excellent English and be well presented.
This is a live-in job, working approximately 45 hours a week (good hours of 9-4) and as the residence is used at weekends your 2 days off will be during the week. Having said this the house has not been used at all this summer. Your accommodation will be your own self-contained bungalow – single person is welcome but you can also bring a partner with you as long as they pursue their own job. A live out candidate may be considered if you live within a reasonable distance from the residence.
Salary will be in the region of £42,000 gross per annum.
Start Date – ASAP.
This is a live-in position, starting ASAP. This is also suitable for a couple if your partner would make a good House Manager/Groundsman.
We are recruiting a highly experienced, traditional housekeeper/cook for a HNW lady based in her Belgravia property. This is a live-in, full time position. We are looking for someone with extensive experience in similar homes with solid references. The Principle spends 4 months of the summer in her home in the Hamptons, so there is the potential to travel with her should you wish. Otherwise you will remain in the London residence keeping the property clean and secure at all times.
You must be hardworking, reliable and a good cook able to competently create 3 course well-presented meals for up to 8 people. You must also love dogs.
Flexibility is key in this position, as is a strong work ethic. Upmost professionalism is required at all times.
If you are interested in spending time this summer in the Hamptons then that may be a possibility. Otherwise the role will look to start upon the Principle’s return to London.
Salary of £400 – £500 per week depending on experience. Accommodation and food is also provided.
