WHAT TO EXPECT WORKING AS A VILLA MANAGER
We have a number of hospitality management jobs abroad each year. If you have hospitality management experience or ready to step up into your first management role, then the role of Villa Manager could be the perfect role for you. As a Villa Manager, you remain a hands on team member but with additional managerial responsibilities. A Villa Manager can have 2 different meanings depending on the company, some Villa Managers will not work in a villa but will oversee the running on a number of villas. You will be the line manager of the staff in each of your villas, you will deal with day to day issues and you will be expected to step into any of your chalets to cover with cooking or cleaning as required.
Other companies, generally the private villas, will have a Villa Manager dedicated to an individual villa. You will be a key member of the Villa team and will be expected to assist the villa host with the daily housekeeper and table service. All Villa Managers will often manage the staff rota, the villa accounts, staff training and development, liaise with suppliers and being the first point of contact for any guest related enquiries or complaints.
